Ludhiana (21 June 2020): Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Ludhiana celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June the wellbeing of Industry members during this current COVID-19 pandemic situation.
In this slowdown in daily activities and restrictions on the movement of people, this year’s observance of International Day of Yoga has aimed to highlight the health-building and stress-relieving aspects of Yoga. In the new scenario, the trend that has emerged for the observation that the Ministry of AYUSH is also supporting this trend by promoting the theme “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family” in its International Day of Yoga activities.
The public has supported this year’s International Yoga Day as it comes in the middle of a health emergency. Hence the observation of Yoga Day has become a search for good health and peace of mind, this time.
Mr. Amit Juneja, Chairman – CII Ludhiana Zonal Council said “Today the whole world is worried and gloomy about the COVID- 19 pandemics. Yoga is especially relevant now since its practice leads to both physical and mental wellbeing. Of importance in these difficult times are the following two proven benefits which the public can gain from Yoga: a) Positive impact on general health and immunity enhancement, and b) Its globally accepted role as a stress buster. In respect to that, the Confederation of Indian Industry has organized this Yoga session for our Ludhiana Industry Leaders for their wellbeing.”
Yogi Sanjeev Tyagi, Master Trainer – Everest Yoga Institute, a Yoga Institution has performed this Yoga session virtually by emphasizing different Yoga techniques for stress buster, healthy lifestyle, and maintaining good health to encourage our members to perform Yoga harmoniously from their houses on this International Yoga Day.
Ms. Sunaina, Celebrity Yoga Trainer, and Global Icon inaugurated this session by appreciating the CII initiative to perform Yoga Session on Virtual platform.
On this occasion, many industry members performed Yoga virtually by sitting at their respective homes like Mr. Ashwin Nagpal, Convener – CII City Development Core Group, Mr. Ambrish Jain, Managing Director – Kangaroo Group, Ms. Geetanjali Seth, CSR Coordinator – Versatile Enterprises Group, Mr. Arun Seth, Managing Director – Versatile Enterprises Group, Ms. Shivani Sachdeva, Director – Fancy Copy Manufacturers along with others members.
