CT University holds faculty development programme

Ludhiana, July 4, 2019: CT University, Ludhiana under Research and Innovation Centre (RICE) organised a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Research Methodology ‘How to write good thesis and Multiple Regression Analysis’ addressed by the resource person, Dr Surat Singh.

Singh is an expert in econometrics having four decades experience of teaching and research in premier educational institutes of the region.

FDP was held in two sessions where in the last session included a workshop. The audience included Ph.Dresearch scholars from various research backgrounds, faculty members and students who would be opting for research projects. In the morning session, he acquainted the participants deftly with tips on how to write good research papers, synopses and theses. In the afternoon session, he gave the participants practical exposure to multiple regression techniques.

The resource person touched every major concept behind writing research papers. He also elaborated about how to save oneself from plagiarism and aptly giving references. Singh shared in detail about various writing styles like APA format, MLA, Chicago and Howard. He also discussed the difference between review papers and research papers. In the afternoon practical session, he gave demonstration on various softwares that can be used in research.

Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, said that the University is committed to provide facilities and apt environment for the professional development of faculty, researchers, students and practitioners.
