Ludhiana, November 5, 2019: CT University hosted ‘Youth Speak Forum 2019’ organised by AIESEC in association with Coca Cola. For the event, the guest of honor was Amar Rai, Vice President of Humanity Foundation and a social activist who is actively working for cause of menstrual hygiene and elimination of stigma related to menstruation. He is a campaigner of ‘Stop Sale Acid’, to curb the free sale of acid and to stop the acid attack violence. He is presently working with Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
The speakers for the day were remained Niraj Gera, an Internationally Acclaimed Photographer; Akassh K Aggarwal, Vocal LGBT Rights Activist and Accessory Designer; Shalya Gupta, Founder and CEO, Empower Youth Foundation; Gavish Batra and Nitigya Soni Founder Director – Hee Bee Coffee. All of them had one to one interaction with the students in a ‘Question and Answer’ round.
Apart from this, the panellist included Ati Priye, Board of Advisor for AIESEC and presently associated with CT University as the Manager-Corporate Resource Centre; Gaurav Sethi, Board of Advisor for AIESEC, Ludhiana; Deeksha Kalra, Board of Advisor for AIESEC, Ludhiana; Mohit Chaudhary, founder director of Orchid Pre-School.
All the topics by the speakers revolved around United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
One of the speakers Akassh Aggarwal, giving message to the youth, said, “The need of the hour is to form a chain of change, a positive change in society, we all need to initiate the best around us and inspire others. Just be yourself. Bring a change. Live more.”
Manbir Singh, Managing Director CTU congratulated all for such a successful event and said, “Such awakening events bring out the best in youth which makes them aware and united. The youth has a power which can bring revolutionary changes in society at large.”
