“Money, like emotions, is something one must control to keep one’s life on the right track.” To stimulate educators about the right approach to finances and use of digital tools, an awareness programme ‘Sensitization on Financial Literacy and Digital Tools’ was organised at BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School by CBSE in collaboration with SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations. The program was attended by over 130 teachers of the hub schools. Mrs. Rachna Malhotra, Dean Academics graced the occasion with their eminent presence.
The session was headed by Mr. Manik Suri, Executive Director, and The Investment Experts Pvt. Ltd. He was highly regarded in the school auditorium with a warm oral and floral welcome. Mr. Manik Suri , a well qualified, experienced and certified financial planner shared his knowledge about how pedagogues can manage their funds and invest in better financial policies. He disseminated his learning and counselled to deal with the capital vigilantly. In this insightful and informative session, he talked about the need of having a higher level of pecuniary sophistication to make effective use of financial technology products and services to avoid frauds and extravagant mistakes. The interactive session was made interesting with real life experiences and anecdotes. The queries of the teachers were adequately elucidated.
The Principal, Mrs Anuja Kaushal articulated that digital financial literacy is an important aspect of education in the current scenario and individuals need to understand the additional risks that are sometimes harder to spot.
A certificate was issued to each participant by CBSE upon successful completion of the training program.
