Bengaluru: Flipkart is expanding its wings into the massive second-hand goods industry of India, for selling refurbished smartphones, laptops, tablets and other electronic accessories. Under the website 2GUD, Flipkart plans to sell a whole new range of these products. This comes after E-bay India, recently acquired by Flipkart, closed its operations.

With the website, Flipkart now plans to tap into the larger customer base among Indians that believe in economic and value purchases for their money, rather than the luxury of a brand new tag. Flipkart plans to offer considerable margins on the refurbished goods, with eye-catching prices and deals to tempt the masses. The 2GUD Website sorts products into four categories, with prices going lower accordingly. The categories are decided on the basis of condition of the goods, and come with a guarantee of severe quality checks. The four categories are:
1. ‘Unboxed- Like New’
2. ‘Refurbished- Superb’
3. ‘Refurbished- Very Good’
4. ‘Refurbished- Good’.

The website can currently be assessed on mobile we only. Desktop and app versions are planned to be launched soon.
