ICU Initiate Green Manufacturing with Solar Process Heating System in Industries

A meeting was held by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana on Solar Process Heating System in Industries assisted by UNIDO and detail discussion was held on the viability of this project to setup by MSME units.

Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU said that the importance of such workshops to learn about the innovation in the renewable energy sector and to interact with experts who to propose and plan a transition to solar energy. He further said that the UNIDO work for the industry in different areas, now here it help us for financing from various Government bodies like IREDA for implementation of solar Process heating system at Industries in ESCO Mode. He further said that MNRE approved manufacturer in solar CST Technology for high temperature applications and other applications like Hot Water, Steam, Thermic Fluid heating, Air conditioning and Incineration etc.

Dr. Anil Misra, National Project Manager, United Nation Industrial Development Organization demystified the barriers associated with technology adoption, and also shared details on the most suitable solar thermal technologies namely, Parabolic Troughs, Dish Collectors and Linear Fresnel systems. He informed that UNIDO has partnered with Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) to develop a financial package bundling the subsidy from MNRE and soft loan to support the installation of CST projects for industrial applications of heating and cooling.

Sh. Parminderjit Singh Sidhu from Soft Tech RENEWABLE ENERGIES, Ludhiana gave a presentation through a film. The members present in the meeting convinced with the proposal project. It was decided that the team of Soft Tech RENEWABLE ENERGIES, Ludhiana will survey these units.
