Ludhiana, August 11 (000)-Ishmeet Singh Music Institute celebrated International Youth Day today to assess power and possibilities with Youth. Artists of the institute gave impeccable performances.
The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Director, ISMI. He said that the institute emphasizes on the importance of values of understanding others and taking into consideration their feelings. ISMI imbibes these values of belongingness that get enshrined in the artistic performances of artists of the institute. He added that the institute offers various fervent courses which impart luminosity.
Sh. Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest on the occasion where was Sh. Amrinder Singh Malhi, SDM (West) was the Guest of Honour of the function.
At the outset students from the instrumental department Kanav, Ishaan, Ameet and Bandesh gave an orchestra performance to commence the event. Afterwards Master Kamal, Manubir, Bhaswati, Diwanshu, Gurpoorav, Darshan, Swastik, Khushdeep students from the vocal department of ISMI sang beautiful Bollywood and Punjabi songs and got a huge round of applause. On the other hand, Neha, Jahnvi, Shifali, Ridhima and Khushboo gave a hip-hop dance performance whereas Amarpreet, Mansi, Divya, Ankita, Harswaijeet, Savitoj, Saakhi, Rashmin, Tarandeep and Panveer others gave a Bhangra dance performance.
Sh. Pardeep Aggarwal was quite impressed by all the performances and said that “I did not know so many activities could be possible under one roof”. He added that he was feeling grateful to have witnessed such high level of talent in Ludhiana and encouraged the students to never give up on their dreams and follow their heart.
Sh. Amrinder Singh Malhi praised all the performances and said that children along with studies should pursue their musical dream and congratulated Jasmehak Kaur who took dance training from the institute and won a PTC award.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Devinder Kaur Saini, Dean (ISMI).
