With the efforts of Sh. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Honorable Member of the Parliament at the Rajya Sabha, and Sh. D.P.S. Kharbanda IAS Director Technical Education Government of Punjab; Ludhiana ITI has received funds for Technological update.
Today, a meeting of industrialists was held under the leadership of S. Charanjit Singh Vishwakarma Chairman ITI Ludhiana, regarding the needs of Ludhiana’s industry from the ITI and discussed the vision to make this ITI the Model ITI of Punjab.
S. Onkar Singh Pahwa Chairman Avon Cycles said that there is a need to upgrade the cycle industry of Ludhiana with the latest skills, there is a huge demand for Skilled MIG Welders and Skilled TIG Welders in the city of cycles.
Sh. K.K. Seth Chairman FICO said that globally the industry is working on the 4.0 concept, and we still are working on old technologies, the way to upgrade is through the skilled workforce, and Ludhiana ITI is an institute which can provide us with a highly skilled workforce.
S. Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO said that as the Central Tool Room provides us with Highly Skilled Students, the New ITI Multi-skill development centre will also provide the industry with high skilled workforce in the city. Thanks to S. Vikramjit Singh Sahni who assured the industry with the latest state-of-the-art multi-skill development centre at Ludhiana.
S. Baljinder Singh Principal ITI Ludhiana is spread over a land of 19 Acre Land, with its proper Utilization Ludhiana ITI can feed Properly the Industry of Punjab with the skills they need.
It is the vision of Sh. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Honorable Member of the Parliament at the Rajya Sabha that the ITI Ludhiana will be upgraded to the World Class Multi Skill Development Centre, that too as per the requirements of the industry, so that the Student of Punjab can find their worth in Punjab itself and this Multi Skill Development centre will act as a bridge between students and industry and ensure at least 5000 jobs per year.
