Ludhiana, October 2, 2017: On the second day of PCTE’s week long Festaweek, 11 teams from college competed with each other in an event Nukkad Natak that was staged today at Rose Garden. On account of Gandhi Jayanti, various social issues like poverty, corruption, women empowerment and other social issues were highlighted.
Participating for the first time, Amardeep, a first year student of Journalism and Mass Communication said, “I never did acting before. Participating in this street play for the first time helped me in exploring my inner capabilities and flair of acting. Winning and losing is secondary, participating was must for me.”
Sharing his experience, another student Anurag from B.Com 1st year said, “The experience of participating in Nukkad Natak taught me various skills like management, acting and coordination. Also, witnessing other teams was a wonderful experience and the true credit goes to our faculty members who are a source of inspiration to us.”
While appreciating the hard work of students, Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General said, “We got a warm response yesterday in Kipps Market and today also, I am glad that the audience at Rose Garden enjoyed. The reason for performing this event in public is just to spread awareness on the social issues that we are still dealing with. Also, we want to revive the traditional form of media which is somewhere getting lost”
