POOR AIR CONNECTIVITY EFFECT BUSINESS IN PUNJAB

Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU in a statement said that the connectivity of Air is very poor in Punjab. He also said that CICU wrote a letter to Civil Aviation Minister Sh. Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju to give special attention for increasing the Air Connectivity in State of Punjab.

He further said that all Airlines do not operate after 3pm, while the airport remains closed on all Sundays. The industrialists/Business of the State of Punjab, who have urgent work/meeting in other state or returning to home city, facing many problems due to non-suitable timings of the fights.  He requested to Hon’ble Civil Aviation Minister to increase the timings of the Fights 3pm to 10pm. It will boost the Business in Punjab.

Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that there is only one flight from Ludhiana to Delhi and back urged Minister to increase the frequency of flights. Ludhiana is hub of industry and businessman’s use to travel Delhi frequently. The Industrialists in Ludhiana were frustrated due to the lack of air connectivity in the city, so it is a request to increase more flights at Ludhiana Airport.

He further said that the Ludhiana, Rajpura, Chandigarh, Belt is one of prominent belt for Industries and Business, but Air Connection doesn’t support Businessman’s. The only hope is Chandigarh Airport nearly 6 cities which was close for up gradation, But now in operational mode. CICU bends a representation to Minister of Aviation to address the above issues.
