Priyanka Chopra got engaged to boyfriend Nick Jonas in a fairytale ceremony on Saturday morning. The two are expected to tie the knot soon.
Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to congratulate her ‘Mimi Didi’ on the big day. Parineeti wrote a moving letter to Priyanka and her soon-to-be husband Nick.
“Today I witnessed magic and a fairytale … When we were kids, Mimi didi and I used to play “ghar ghar”. We would pretend to be shy brides, have imaginary children, and serve tea to our husbands! cheesy, but its because we always believed in the magic of love and hoped we would both find that perfect man for us one day!! Today there was no pretending. I cant think of a more a perfect man for her. Like I said this morning, there are two ways of judging a human being. One – travel with them, and two, eat with them. Nick, I have done both with you. And so I know you’re perfect for her!! Love her, because she loves you like mad! Protect her, because shes strong, but a soft soul inside. Priyanka and Nick had a traditional roka ceremony on Saturday morning with their family members and close friends in attendance. Nick’s parents Denise Miller-Jonas and Paul Kevin Jonas were both dressed in traditional Indian attire.
Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra chose a saree for her daughter’s big day.
The actress looked beautiful in a lemon yellow anarkali suit from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, while Nick looked quite the dapper desi groom-to-be in his white silk kurta-pajama.
