“Road Safety Week” observed at KCW, Ludhiana

In view of increasing road accidents, students of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana have observed Road Safety Week from 11.01.2018 to 17.01.2018 in which members of the traffic club created awareness about safe driving in different classes. Students also took pledge to follow traffic rules and regulations. In continuation of the awareness drive, students in large number took out a rally that was flagged off from the college premises by Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill with the slogan “Drive Safe, Stay Smart”. The campaigners carried out placards highlighting the importance of road safety and fatal risks caused by the lack of awareness. Sub-Inspector Mr. Jagjit Singh (Traffic Incharge) also accompanied the rally. Students appreciated and offered flowers to the commuters following traffic rules. In the concluding day of the road safety week, an extension lecture on “Road Safety” was delivered by Mr. Gurpreet Singh (Traffic Education Cell). At the end, madam principal gave a vote of thanks to traffic police department and encouraged students to follow the traffic rules sincerely and spread awareness amongst others.
