On this World Environment Day, 2018 S. Upkar Singh Ahuja received Environment Excellence Award by Capt. Amarinder Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab at Mohali.
Today, “Mission Tandarust Punjab” is launched on World Environment Day by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab. The objective of this mission to control the pollution and make it eco-friendly. The individuals, who are doing activities and contributing to change the environment will also be honored on this day.
S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, Managing Director, New Swan Group & President, CICU got the Award from Capt. Amarinder Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab for his efforts for Resource Management and water conservation in small-scale electroplating sector, strengthen the Environment protection activities and spread awareness among masses.
Sh. Ahuja said that CICU formed an Environment Improvement (Green Manufacturing) Committee for to make manufacturing Eco-friendly. This Committee will work for Green Manufacturing for process improvement in Industries by holding seminars, training programs, and awareness sessions on the relevant subjects.
Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that CICU will work for environmental improvement in the industry on a priority basis and conduct program like Mass Plantation, Awareness Program on Environment, rainwater harvesting, vertical gardening etc.
Sh. S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU mentioned that Leader should set an example for the other and the same has been followed by S. Upkar Singh Ahuja. He has been working for Environment since last many years and has done many activities for the industry for environmental improvement.
