The NSS Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management is registered under the NSS Department of Panjab University, Chandigarh. The NSS Unit is working under the guidance of Prof Meenu Goyal and Prof Jai Parkash NSS Programme Officer and NSS Core Team volunteers Himanshu Garg, Jashan Grewal, Shagun Bharti, Tanusha Arora, Chahat Kapoor, Abheeti, Simran Pandher, Anish Bansal (Alumni) and Ashu Bansal (Alumni). The College has declared Jashanjot Kaur Grewal and Himanshu Garg as the Best NSS Camper in 7 Day NSS Camp for their wholehearted and sincere involvement in various social work starting from organising and participating in blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, visits to old age homes, visit to orphanages, school for deaf and dumb, special children, Samarpan an event for sub staff, tree plantation drives, literacy campaigns, traffic awareness and road safety drives, save water, save electricity campaigns etc. Arshdeep Singh, Abheeti, Shagun, Ishpreet, Chahat, Simran were given certificate of appreciation for their outstanding dedication and commitment during the 7 Day NSS Camp organised by SACCM affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh.
Brigadier H S Bhandal, Director Education, Dr R L Behl, Principal, Prof Meenu Goyal, Prof Jai Parkash, NSS Program Officers congratulated Jashan Grewal and Himanshu for winning the Best NSS Camper Award. Prof Meenu Goyal appreciated the efforts of all NSS volunteers and gave best wishes for taking these noble causes. The volunteers shared their experience and said it was an enriching experience for them. They promised to continue such initiatives and keep on making positive contribution in the society at large by organising and participating in more number of such events and activities.
