Students At Green Land Sr.Sec Public School Pay Homage To Kargil Martyrs

The students of Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana commemorated 20th Kargil Victory  Day by reminding  everyone about the sacrifices done by Indian Armed Forces to ensure that we sleep in peace in our homes. The students lit candles and pledged that they would never hesitate to sacrifice their lives whenever there would be a call from Nation.  Remembering the sacrifices of brave soldiers and armed forces protecting the country at the border, filled the students with patriotic feelings. An Intersection Punjabi Declamation Contest was organised for the students of IX std. where they spoke on various topics like –“ Aaho Shaheeda nu Yaad Karea”, Salam Veer Shaheeda Nu”.

On the 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas,  our school 3 Punjab Battalion NCC Cadets paid special homage to the martyrs of Kargil in which they took oath to safe guard their country from internal and external exigencies.

The Principal, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher  in her address enthused the students to be grateful for the great sacrifices of soldiers.  They should never forget the sacrifice of the  martyrs as any nation that forgets its martyrs never flourishes . She also told that our martyrs are real heroes and we should make them our ideals.

The Result of Punjabi Declamation Contest: Divyanshi & Aarav from IX Pope stood first, Suhana from IX Keats bagged the second prize and Gauravpreet Singh from IX Chaucer won the third prize.
