Almost since 15-March-2020, due to COVID-19 Pandemic, The Nation has been under a complete lockdown.
Due to which all IELTS Coaching Centres, Study Abroad Consultants, Immigration Consultants and Travel Agents have suffered badly and without any source of income it is impossible to pay the rents.
Students were planning to study abroad but due to current situation everything has been shut down. Tourism industry has been shut down globally.
It is worth noting and mentioning that due to the commendable work of the government, everyone is safe at their homes.
However, our Industry which is one of the fastest-growing industries of Punjab and has generated employment for many, is facing a major threat as for them not only lockdown of India or Punjab but lockdown of the countries like Australia and Canada has a great negative impact. If the situation continues, they might have to shut down the businesses.
IELTS Centre and Travel Agents, besides producing lot of employment in the region, are also paying taxes timely and properly. When everything goes back to normal life, scenario will be changed and several challenges are going to be faced in coming 6-12 months.
Entrepreneurs from Ludhiana city want to request the government to waive off the rents till the lock down is imposed so that they don’t get bankrupt.
