Festaweek – The cultural & Literary fest of PCTE entered its 5th Day with the events like Indian Group Dance, Mr and Ms PCTE, Western Solo Song, Instrumental Solo, Solo Song, Quiz, PICTO, JAM, Dumb Charades & Academic Price Distribution.
Mr. Mohamed Osman, the Education Attache, Embassy of Kenya to India was the Guest for the day. The students participated with full zeal. The major highlight of the day included Mr. & Ms. PCTE competition and Indian group dance which will be followed by fashion show and Musical Night late in the evening. The results of few cultural and literary events are already out. In various literary events Journalism students bagged first position in quiz followed by B.Com 2nd year and BBA 2A respectively in Junior wing. Students of MBA 2A won first and second position. Third position was grabbed by MBA 2C. In another event Dumb Charades first position was won by BJMC followed by B.Sc. ATHM 2nd year. Third position was won by B.Sc. Biotec 2nd year in Junior wing. In an event Picto MBA 2C won first, MBA 2B stood second followed by BCA 3A.
In cultural events like western Solo song Samridhi from MBA 2C won first position followed by Mitesh from B.Pharma 4th Year and Karma from BHMCT 4th Year. In Instrumental Solo song Aman Khurana won first position followed by Akash and Harmanpreet.
Devam the student of Journalism and Mass Communication said that events like this help them to fully explore their talent. He further added that he has participated in Nukkad Natak whereby he has performed infront unknown crowed and today he is participating in the Fashion Show, he said that he is exited and at the same time nervous. Events like this help them to increase their confidence and help the students to identify the unexplored talent.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of institutes said that festival has entered to its peak stage where students showed their best talent. He said that students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and spirit of winning was truly demonstrated in their performance and behavior.. He further stressed that festivals like helped in nurturing young talent and provide students a platform to demonstrate their skills.
