25 people died and dozens more were injured after a truck carrying members of a wedding party fell into a drain in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar.
The accident took place near Palitana near Bhavnagar on the Rajkot highway Tuesday morning.
The injured were rushed to the nearby Bharat Nagar Senior and Tindour Government Hospital for treatment.
Relief and rescue operations are currently underway. Senior police officers of the region have rushed to the accident spot.
Prime Minster Narnedra Modi tweeted his condolences over the Bhavnagar accident. “My PM Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences over the accident.to all those who lost their loved ones due to an accident near Ranghola in Gujarat. The accident was extremely unfortunate and anguishing. May those who have been injured recover at the earliest,” PM Modi said.
