The NSS unit of Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College organized a seven day NSS Camp  on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Fit India Campaign’. The second day of the camp started with Navkar Mantra. All the volunteers were deeply involved in the tasks assigned to them. A Yoga and Meditation Camp was also organized for the students by Sh. Om Prakash, Dr. Promod and Sh. Arvind Kumar  from Arogya Bharti, Punjab. During the camp students learnt various yoga exercises for healthy living. Students were encouraged to start their day with yoga and adopt a healthy life style.

The next training session was held by Mrs. Usha Chopra (an instructor of Red Cross Society) on the topic First Aid to pay the immediate attention to the sufferer. She stated that all individuals should have a basic understanding of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. CPR is a technique involving heart and lungs that is used when breathing stops. Administering CPR can restore breathing and restart the heart if heart failure accompanies the loss of breathing. This valuable technique should be learned by all caregivers and parents in case an emergency arises where professional help is not immediately available. Emergencies happen all too often, and early intervention can save a life. A Discussion was made on the topic and volunteers participated in the talk with great interest and presented their views. Last but not the least, a Cleanliness drive was also started by NSS Volunteers. All volunteers took the initiative and contributed equally to clean the campus and to promote the  the motto of Clean Green and Healthy surroundings.

The President of the College Management committee, Sh. Komal Jain (Duke) along with other worthy members of the college Management Committee and the Principal, Dr Sandeep Kumar, also attended the session. They appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit of the College and encouraged all volunteers to keep up the good work to make a positive contribution to the society. Principal sir addressed the students and guided them towards their social responsibility and also motivated them to step forward to serve the society.
